This report is the major outcome of a research project that Playgroup Australia commissioned RMIT University’s Centre for Urban Research to conduct. The project sought to analyse the social and economic value of community playgroups. The 62-page report details the methodology, findings and conclusions, and includes a set of recommended actions to optimise playgroups’ role in community capacity building.
Telethon Kids Institute
Telethon Kids Institute conducted research into the influence and impact of playgroups across Australia.
The study found: Children who attend playgroups during early childhood have significantly better child development when they start school.
