Summary: Putting on a miniature puppet show for your baby assists in the development of their social and language skills, and you may have fun making the puppets and seeing your baby laugh.

Finger puppets can be made using simple craft materials, such as felt, cloth, markers and googly eyes.

  • Make the puppets dance, kiss, tickle and sing to engage your baby.
  • Use nursery rhymes and songs to make it is a musical show.
  • You can use many different colours and have many variations so your baby never gets bored of the puppets.

Variation: You can draw a face on a wooden spoon and drape a scrap of material around the handle for a cloak
